Haus Obsessed
If you ever visit junk shops, you will notice that there are always a couple ladders stacked up in the corner. At some of the places I frequent they come cheaper than a set of shelves, and they are a better way of displaying anything. A small step ladder can be great on top of a side table or desk adding a few shelves to put paperwork and other desk accessories. Larger ladders can be used up against a wall to shelve books, and if you add a board across the vacant interior, it’s more efficient, holding more books and pieces. Ladders can be a creative ingredient to add an industrial feel. If you are searching for a less bohemian look, paint the ladder a bright high-gloss color. Think a bright pink for a kid’s room, or a glossy white with baby blue steps. Even in the living room, a light grey would looks great next to a plain wall. Want a more luxurious look? Spray the ladder with gold and then sandpaper a little off to create that gilded rich antique look. However you decide to use it, ladders look inventive and unique. And I am sure that you won’t even have to go to a store to find it. I bet there is one somewhere in your garage or supplies closet just waiting to be given a second life to.
