Haus Obsessed

Steve and Stacey’s apartment is retro and eclectic in the right combination. From the quirky artwork to the vase of pussy willows, this apartment is a throwback to the 70′s and it couldn’t be more chic. Every piece seems like it has a great story behind it. “I don’t even not understand it in a way that’s understandable.” This piece shows their appreciation for ironic art and yet is modern and adds a feeling of importance in the room. The only thing that slightly bothers me is how much this takes away from the French sign resting on the ledge below it because this is another interesting gem that should be hung in broad daylight. You can definitely tell that music is an important part of their lives. With the record player, the record collection, the artwork of cassette cases, and DJ equipment, Steve and Stacey give you a little taste of their personalities. This is how an apartment/home should be. It should be representative of you as a person. Styled apartments always feel stark because they lack the love and familiarity. So as a note to anyone decorating their space, purchase things that draw you to them. You might not know why they draw you, but those are the gold that you will stare at and keep for years. I have turned away from so many pieces that I was drawn too, and I have regretted that decision to this day.
