Don’t worry my few followers, I haven’t forgotten about the best of New York City’s junk. I have just been a little distracted traveling around and being a workaholic. Yesterday, I decided to make a point to stop by one of my favorite thrift shop in the city. There are always a few gems in this store, either priced unbelievable low or outrageously high. This crazy copper pot was part of the latter. At over $250, this piece might seem a little much, but when you look at the size of the piece and the quirkiness of the handles, it is a gem. The pot is about 12 inches in diameter at the top and about 10 inches tall. It would be a perfect addition to a kitchen or living area. I love the idea of filling it with flowers, dried lavender sprigs or pine cones next to the fireplace. It is such a classic piece and with funky looking handles like those, how could you not want this piece in your space? Seems like the person who hammered this was channeling a little bit of Mickey Mouse.
