Haus Obsessed

For months now, I have been trying to find a way to make the longhorn skull that is mounted on my wall look less bare. After playing with flags, accessories and other concepts, I walked into a store while traveling around New England with my parents and was completely inspired by the way they styled their wall mounted horns. Take an empty frame and mount it around any 3-dimensional object that is hung on a wall. It is absolutely brilliant, and can be used with many different decors. Modern or even simple frames can be used to surround any wall-mounted gem, masking the negative space that can often make the piece appear boring. Metal letters, collectables, even a shelf with one of your keepsakes on. Just make sure the frame isn’t too small to make the piece seem smothered or too large to drown it. You want some wall space between your object and the frame, but not too much to look ridiculous. With this brilliant idea, another item is added to my list of things to hunt for.
