There is an amazing furniture and curiosity store near union square that just happens to be right next door to the Cure Thrift Store. Kill two birds with one stone! Today, I couldn’t settle on just one find from this store. And if I had the money and space both of these items would be coming home with me. The first is an old fiberglass chair with adjustable heights. At $175, this chair would be a cool addition to a retro kitchen. The second find would have been perfect for my apartment if I had $700 to blow. It is an early 1800′s wash basin stand with a marble top. All I kept thinking was how this would be the perfect vanity for any small apartment. It had a drawer and a shelf underneath. The bottom is made of wood giving the beautiful piece a touch of rustic authenticity. But at $650, it was out of my budget though I am sure I could have negotiated the price a little. The owner was another interesting fellow, lounging around as I perused and willing to tell me the story behind every item in the store. Until then, it is up for grabs.
